Structure
& Operations
The
Institute for Therapeutic Discovery was incorporated as a
not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization in 2003. In addition to its
research and educational initiatives, this status requires the
Institute to license its technologies to established pharmaceutical,
nutraceutical, or biotech companies in order to complete the clinical
evaluation and marketing of commercially viable products resulting
from the Institute's work.
Based
in the greater Albany area, the Institute is incorporated in the
State of New York with offices in New York and Virginia. The
Institute does not have a large infrastructure. Instead, management’s
efforts are concentrated on coordinating the activities of its
discovery team with institutional collaborations such as with Brown
University, the University of Maine, and the University of Virginia,
and with other nonprofit organizations such as The Monroe Institute.
This arrangement permits several, high-quality investigations to take
place simultaneously.
