James Drane, Ph.D.
One of the founders of the field of bioethics, Dr. Drane is Professor Emeritus of Philosophy and Roth Professor of Bioethics at Edinboro University in Pennsylvania. He earned his Ph.D. in Philosophy and Ethics from the University of Madrid, Spain. His post-doctoral research includes study at Georgetown University, Georgetown University Medical School, Yale University, and the Menninger School of Psychiatry. He is the author of 15 books and over 600 articles and papers. Dr. Drane is recognized as a leader in the field and is a consultant to medical schools, companies, hospitals, and governments throughout the world.

David C. Vincent
Founder and CEO of Countryside Marts, Inc., Mr. Vincent directs a retailing business with operations in three counties of New York State. Formerly a twelve-year member of the Schenectady County Legislature, he serves on numerous boards of directors and is currently Chair of the Capital District Regional Planning Commission, Chairman of the Board of Schenectady City Mission, and Chairman of the Board of the Schenectady County Community Business Center. Mr. Vincent did his undergraduate study in geology at the University of Rochester, and has developed considerable experience in the application of John Carver’s “Policy Governance” model of not-for-profit organization structure.
